{"id":4230,"date":"2020-06-09T18:06:57","date_gmt":"2020-06-09T18:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.altumhealth.com\/?p=4230"},"modified":"2020-12-31T17:07:53","modified_gmt":"2020-12-31T17:07:53","slug":"concussion-therapy-and-the-great-ravelled-knot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/s2.uhndigitalsecurity.com\/?p=4230","title":{"rendered":"Concussion Therapy and the Great Raveled Knot"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Dr. Charmody Laughton<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The brain is a mystery and complicated structure.&nbsp; My first psychology professor referred to it as the \u201cGreat Raveled Knot.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhn.ca\/KNC\/Research\/Globe_Mail\/Krembil_Magazine_Volume_IV\/Pages\/Inside_Krembil_Brain_Institute.aspx\">Scientists<\/a> have mapped many of the brain&#8217;s functions. However, much of the brain remains a mystery.&nbsp; There is one thing we know well about the human brain.&nbsp; When it is in a state of injury or distress, it can create a whole collection of symptoms that may not be seen. However, this does not mean they do not exist. Unseen symptoms are a very real experience for those suffering from them and concussion therapy can help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Can Concussion Therapy Help Me?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A clinician will take a comprehensive history of your injury to better understand your symptom experience and to identify affected areas of the nervous system.
